Preemptive Radical Inclusion from the Learning Lounge

According to their website, “Preemptive Radical Inclusion means that we intentionally position ourselves, before we know anything at all about anyone in the room, to presuppose that everyone is already, and always, in the room.” To simplify, PRI makes accommodations for the myriad needs of people without waiting for a specific person to ask for assistance, thereby making them feel welcomed into a space that was designed with them in mind.

Zotero iconThe Library is excited to announce that Zotero, a free, open-source reference management tool, is now available to help you collect, organize, and cite your research materials effortlessly. Zotero will be replacing NoodleTools as the Library’s officially supported reference and citation tool.

With Zotero, you can:

 – Save and organize references from books, articles, and websites

– Generate citations and bibliographies in multiple styles

– Collaborate with peers on research projects

– Sync your research across multiple devices

Official NoodleTools support will end on May 25, 2025.

If you are currently using NoodleTools, you will lose access on this date. Please export and back-up any projects and citations to avoid losing important work. We understand that transitioning from NoodleTools may take some adjustment, and we’re here to help. Library will be offering workshops, guides, and one-on-one support to ensure a smooth transition. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
